Navigate Facebook and Twitter with Keyboard Shortcut Keys

Hi everyone, Today I am here  with a most useful as well as amazing post. As we all know that Facebook and Twitter are the most trending social media websites in today. Most of all from us don’t know that we can navigate these profiles with keyboard shortcuts.

Keep in mind that these shortcuts are browser specific. I am going to mention here shortcuts with browser name:

• Internet Explorer and Google Chrome – Alt + Access Keys ( Find Access keys below)

• Mozila FireFox for PC                           –  Shift + Alt + Access Key

• Mozila FireFox For Mac                       –  Ctrl + Opt + Access Key

• Safari For Mac                                       –  Ctrl + Opt + Access Key

• Chrome For Mac                                    –  Ctrl + Opt + Access Key

Access Keys:

• 0 – Help
• 1 – Home
• 2 – Timeline
• 3 – Friends
• 4 – Inbox
• 5 – Notifications
• 6 – Account Settings
• 7 – Privacy
• 8 – About
• 9 – Terms
• m – New Message

Keyboard Shortcut:

• c – Comment when on a story in News Feed
• j and k – Scroll between News Feed stories
• l – like or unlike a selected story
• q – search for a friend to chat with
• p – Focus on the text box when making a post
• / – Search

If you are using Web Messenger try these shortcuts to navigate on Facebook :

• CTRL + g – Search conversations
• CTRL + q – Show/hide keyboard shortcuts
• CTRL + Delete – Archive/unarchive conversation
• CTRL + j – Mark as spam
• CTRL + c – Start a new message
• CTRL + i – Go to Inbox
• CTRL + u – Go to Other

How to Navigate on Twitter with keyboard shortcuts only ?
You can also navigate on  twitter also with keyboard shortcuts. In Twitter to navigate you don’t need to use Ctrl or Alt key like Facebook. Find shortcut keys below with their functions.:

• K – Go to previous tweet

• Space – Page down

• N – Write new tweet
